Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to impact our world for Jesus Christ by LOVING GOD,
LOVING PEOPLE, and MAKING DISCIPLES.
Our logo captures the essence of our mission:
Our mission and logo are based on the teachings of Jesus found in the Great Commandment
and the Great Commission.   Jesus said:
“‘...You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with
all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment.  The second is like it, ‘You
shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Matthew 22:38-39)

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
Our Vision Statement
A growing multi-generational and multi-ethnic Church that is
filled with God's Word and the compassion of Christ.
Our first desire is for all of us to grow in our commitment, obedience and passion for Jesus Christ.
Our second desire is to have our Church grow in a way that will impact our community.  We believe
this will be best done through teaching God's Word and sharing the compassion of Christ to our
community.  Through the Holy Spirit's movement, this will also help our Church grow numerically.
Zechariah 8: 4, 5:  "Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'old men and old women will again sit in
the streets of Jerusalem, each man with his staff in his hands because of age.  And the
streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in the streets.'"

Revelation 5:9:  "And they sang a new song saying, Worthy art thou to take the book and
to break the seals; for Thou wast slain, and didst purchase for God with Thy blood men
from every tribe and tongue and nation."
Through the Word of God:
Biblical teaching, studies, reading, and memorization.
2nd Timothy 3:16, 17: "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching,
for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be
adequate, equipped for every good work."
Through the compassion of Christ:
Serving our immediate community in west Elgin.
Matthew 25:35,36: "For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty,
and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger and you invited me in; naked,
and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to Me."
