Worship at Elgin Evangelical Free Church begins and ends with God.  We proclaim God to be, in the words of theologian Marva Dawn, the "subject and the object of our worship" (Revelation 4:11).  Hence, with God as our strength, we embrace God-centered worship, which celebrates the work of the Trinity, now and throughout history.

Worship at Elgin Evangelical Free Church involves the whole person.  We believe the mandate of Jesus to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind (Mark 12:30) applies to our worship.  Hence, with God as ourstrength, we embrace holistic worship, which views our entire being as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1).

Worship at Elgin Evangelical Free Church combines many different artistic expressions.  Scripture exhorts us to utilize variety in worship (Psalm 150, Colossians 3:16).  Hence, with God as our strength, we embrace blended (or convergence) worship, which draws from the very best elements from the past and the very best from the present (what Robert Webber refers to as "ancient-future" worship).

From praise team, to choir, to orchestra, to vocal ensembles, to drama team, to audio/visual team, and more (as the Lord leads in the months and years to come), there are many opportunities to serve through the sharing of artistic gifts at Elgin Evangelical Free Church.  If you are interested in joining the servant leaders in any of the current worship ministries, please contact Warren Anderson, Worship Pastor.
